My Story

All my life, well from my teenage years, my weight has yo-yoed. Being 5ft 10" I have gone from underweight at 48 kg to obese at 96 kg, from having had no strength to do anything because I didn't eat anything for a few days to my joints aching when I was getting up in the morning from being so heavy. To put this into perspective at one point in my life I had clothing in my wardrobe ranging from size 4-6 to size 22. With this you can also say that I have been through the whole emotional spectrum each of these phases bring.

In 2016 I joined a gym as I was looking to get active and to improve my health. I started trying different fitness classes from Zumba to Pilates, some I enjoyed more than others but what they all gave me was that 'feel good' factor. After a few months a couple of instructors were suggesting that I too should look to become an instructor.

This was when my path that I am on now began.

I qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 3 Older Adults, Level 3 GP Referral, Level 4 Low Back Pain and became certified to teach Boogie Bounce, PureStretch, Drums Alive, Fitness Pilates, Boxercise, KickBoxercise and FunkyStep. I am qualified in First Aid and Automated DeFib (hopefully will never need it).

My interest in how fitness and exercise promotes an all-round well being led to my pursuing and gaining a Level 3 Certification in Child Behaviour and a Diploma in Advanced Special Educational Needs. Working with children is something as I will explore in the near future.

My clients all have a variety of goals and starting points. Some just want to have a break from their daily routine by having some fun and making new friends.

I pride myself on being patient and approachable being very conscious of the fact that no one is born knowing it all, this is a major factor of me ensuring fitness is available to all and helping every step of the way.

My passion for teaching fun fitness classes has won me the 'Instructor of the month' recognition with Boogie Bounce in May 2018.

In September 2018 I opened a fitness studio in Bexhill, since then I won 'Best New Business in East Sussex' award voted by the public and 'Best Fitness Studio in UK'.

I literally look forward to every single class I teach and become super excited seeing the progression of every single one of my clients.

I look forward to welcoming you to one of my classes!
